        Hello Sandy

        Thanks for stopping by.

A nice suggestion, although the pictures aren’t great – do you know if this is available on any LEGO-related or image sharing sites?

        Hello Jon

        Thanks for stopping by.

That is a superb car, and it’s perfect for this blog. However, the pictures are borderline. A sharpen using the auto edit in iPhoto or similar could make a huge difference to the colouring. We can do this, but we much prefer using photos as they are (for time reasons!). Can you look into sharpening the main image and a 3/4 rear for us?

That’s a very accurate render, but it is still a render, and we primarily blog Lego creations rather than digital ones.

Hey guys – just found your site and I’m liking it a lot. Had so much fun reading through the interviews with prominent LEGO car MOCers. I was wondering: have you considered putting a search feature in your site. I found myself wanting to search your site for any posts about LEGO engines models, since that’s my current area of interest. Peace!

        Hello Noah

Thanks for your message and welcome to TLCB!

There is indeed a Search function! You can find it at the foot of every page (or top on some mobiles), plus you can use the tags under every blog post to look up other posts using the tag of your choosing.

Let us know how you get on!

      Hi Sam

      Thanks for stopping by.

Whilst your suggested creation is good, it’s not quite special enough to be blogged

However, we have received a few suggestions of this builder recently so we are now aware of them and will watch for future improvements.

    Hello TLCB Team,

    it’s me, once again 🙂
I’ve found a freaking cool Karmann Ghia on MOCpages.

I don’t think it can be done better in this scale:
    http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/422517

The main image has been photoshopped to get the azure colour,
but the red model is built with real bricks.

    Best wishes

        Hello Mr. Jenkins

Apologies, because these models produced and sold for profit we cannot feature them here without clearly saying so.

TLCB has very occasionally featured ‘third party’ products in the past, but only when a copy of the product or service has been supplied to enable us to write an honest review (which could be good or bad). These can be found in the Set Reviews tab within the main menu.

        All the best

Happy new year! I spent the better part of 2015 designing and building this McLaren P1 and instruction manual. I think your readers would really enjoy it. You can see stills and a video here. http://legop1.tumblr.com/ And thank you for your amazing blog, which provided much inspiration as I revisited a childhood obsession. 🙂

Hi thelegocarblog! I love your website about cars and love especially movie cars! This is the reason why I created a project based on the famous truck of the movie of Johnny Depp, Charlie and the chocolate factory with Lego bricks and published the design on Lego deas. Lego Ideas (lego ideas is a website which allows users to submit ideas for Lego products to be turned into potential Lego sets available commercially if they reache 10 000 supporters). This project has 2270 supporters yet but it is not enough (the project needs ~7700 supporters! So please if you like it could you help me to promote my lego Ideas project by publishing the project on your website? I would be really honored! Thanks for stopping by.

Your LEGO Ideas build looks great!

Sorry though, we can’t publish it here because it’s not really car-related, nor is it built in real bricks, and it was also self-suggested (we get lots of Ideas requests).

However we wish you all the best with your project, and to our visitors reading this – click the link in Tim’s comment above to see his Willy Wonker scene!

    Hi,

We just launched our latest accessory for LEGO – aluminum rims – on Kickstarter. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1012641476/aluminum-rims-aftermarket-mod-for-lego

We think your audience will love them.

Our last accessory was a hit – that was the carbon fiber tiles for LEGO that was a Kickstarter project about a year ago.

Here are some photos if you choose to post: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/sk9dssq0s82xho5/AACLzpoqI8HOQk71A-xrEHoDa?dl=0

We have missed that one – and it looks great! Unfortunately it’s too old for us to post here (we only blog creations or images uploaded in the last week or so), however we can make an exception if the idea is about to reach a milestone, regardless of its age. If the Ideas project is about to cross a supports no. and you need a help to push it over let us know!

Your suggestion meets our criteria, however we are rethinking the frequency with which we post vehicles smaller than mini-fig scale.

Vehicles such as this appear to be less liked by our audience than larger ones (according to our statistical analysis).

I don’t disagree with Alex all scales are nice if the technique used is advanced!By the way I came across some photos of this creation https://www.flickr.com/photos/132941798@N07/18315504276/in/photostream/ at flickr and I liked it…so many details and functions in a so small car?Although it’s a render(I prefer real creations)…but I thing it’s quite interesting.
P.S I don’t know how to upload a link…would you mind telling me?

    Hi!

I saw this technical marvel on Youtube:

    https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCEW2d0OKsAoLbWwCpYdflXA

It may lack a little aesthetically, but full tuneable suspension, an 8-speed auto gearbox and MINDSTORMS drive in a 1:10 car? I’ve finally found something that trumps the 8880!

Unfortunately, I haven’t managed to find this exact MOC anywhere else – seems like it’s only on Youtube.

Many apologies: it turns out that the car is actually in real bricks. The Brothers Brick have blogged it, using better quality images from Flickr (MOCpages does horrible things to photos and displays at a poor resolution). The EXIF info in on the photos too. Looks like we’d better get blogging! Apologies again. https://flic.kr/p/MNCoDA
