BMW, makers of some of the most aesthetically horrifying vehicles of recent times, seem to have finally rediscovered their mojo. Of course they still make a few cars that make us vomit on the sight, but the new 3-Series looks, well… rather like BMW’s used to. Which means all they had to do was peruse their own museum in order to not build something that looked like it had been dredged from the bottom of the ocean. Something like this, the wonderful BMW 2002 Tii.
This lovely example comes from previous bloggee PleaseYesPlease, who has refined his design for this car over the years (and as LEGO have released new parts) to get ever closer to BMW’s classic icon. The resulting model nails the 2002’s understated brilliance, and you can see lots more at Please’s Flickr album.
