Dodgy Camping

Yoga-practicing, vegan-dieting, top-knot-wearing bus / camper life douchebags are everywhere. Well, as long as everywhere has good WiFi, so they can upload their latest ‘adventure’ to their followers. Urgh.

We try to avoid such content of course, but so too would we steer clear of the owner of this battered ’70s Dodge B100 van and Shasta trailer. Decidedly un-Instagram friendly, we suspect its inhabitant’s diet would be more road-kill than ethnic-peace-crisps, and healing crystals would be swapped for actual, um… actual crystal.

Which leads neatly on to today’s second dodgy camper, a Dodge-based ’77 Winnebago that’s almost guaranteed to be a meth lab. An update to his previously blogged ‘Minnie Winnie’, 1saac W. is the builder of both recreational vehicles, and you can head to the abandoned parking lot on the edge of town to check them out via the link above.

Down by the River

You’d be forgiven for thinking we’d gone on holiday here at The Lego Car Blog, seeing as we’ve published nothing for the past few days. Sadly we hadn’t escaped the crumbling concrete carbuncle that is TLCB Towers, it’s just our Elves had found precisely nothing. Well, nothing worth posting at any rate.

If we had gone on holiday though, we’d be delighted if had a looked a little like this. Lego_nuts‘ beautiful autumnal riverside campsite looks a wonderful way to spend a long weekend, with a mini-figure family enjoying crystal clear water and towering trees, courtesy of the Jeep Wrangler 4×4 outfitted with a rooftop tent that’s brought them there.

Join us in wishing we were somewhere else at Lego_nuts’ photostream via the link above.

Camp Jimny

Speaking of ‘coolest vehicles on the planet‘ following today’s other post, here’s another. The Suzuki Jimny is one of the hottest vehicles to own right now, helped no doubt by the EU’s ‘CAFE’ CO2 regulations taking it off sale after just two years, during which time it had a sizeable waiting list. But buying a hateful G63 AMG is fine… go figure.

Anyway, these two polar bears have managed to get themselves a Suzuki Jimny (whose survival was surely the point of that non-sensical, counter-productive EU legislation), applying a few well-chosen mods to equip them with everything they need for a weekend camping.

There’s a folding table, cooler, camping stove, and much more besides to ensure a successful polar-bear-father-son camping trip.

Flickr’s LEGO 7 is the builder behind this wonderfully whimsical, delightfully detailed, and beautifully built creation, and there’s more to see of his superbly presented bear-based camping scene at his ‘Camping Time’ album. Click the link above to join the fun.
