Letterbox

What’s red and has letters in it? Well, a Royal Mail postbox in TLCB’s home nation, but also this fantastic Model Team DAF FA 2600 and draw-bar trailer, both of which are resplendent with some lovely brick-built lettering.

Said letters recreate the classic livery of Dutch transport company Mur Loenen, and come from the hands of truck-building maestro Arian Janssens of Flickr. Arian’s model recreates Mur Loenen’s real trucks beautifully, and there’s more to see at his photostream by clicking here.

Truck on Trucks on Trucks

If you like trucks, this post is for you! Specifically, if you like 1980s DAF FA and FT trucks this post is for you, but that’s probably a bit niche. Still, there must be a DAF fan club somewhere.

Anyway, this suite of DAF trucks was discovered by one of our Elves on Flickr, and it’s now hoping for five meal tokens.

Previous bloggee (and, unsurprisingly, DAF-building specialist) Arian Janssens is the man behind it, having constructed a DAF FA 95.380 ATI sleeper cab transporter and trailer, plus a DAF FA 800, FT 2100, FT 2500, and a DAF 400 flatbed for it to haul. That’s a lot of ’80s Dutch trucking.

Carrying Cars

LEGO’s range of officially-licensed Creator sets keeps on growing, and they’re mostly ace. But for collectors with limited shelf space, storing this growing range of vehicles may be a problem. Flickr’s Arian Janssens has the answer though, with this superb DAF FA 2500 car transporter, capable of storing eight LEGO Creator Expert sets.

Pictured here transporting the 10248 Ferrari F40, 10262 Aston Martin DB5 ‘Goldfinger’, 10252 Volkswagen Beetle, 10242 Mini Cooper, and 10265 Ford Mustang (with room for three more), Arian’s DAF looks the perfect place to stack up some sets.
