Lego Caterpillar 797 Truck

There’s something massive at TLCB Towers today. No, it’s not your Mom (she left this morning), but this, an absolutely gargantuan Caterpillar 797F mining truck built from 61,399 LEGO bricks! Designed by Certified LEGO Professional Ryan McNaught for the previously featured ‘Brickman Awesome’ show, the Lego 797F utilised Caterpillar’s own 3D modelling tool in its creation and took Ryan and a fellow builder 53 hours to construct. There’s a whole lot more to see of this astonishing build (just look at those brick-built wheels!) at Ryan’s photostream, where you can also see the other models from the Brickman Awesome show, many of which have appeared here. Lego UN Mil Mi-26 Helicopter

This is the Mil Mi-26 heavy transport helicopter, the most powerful series production helicopter in the world. Built for the previously publicised ‘Brickman Awesome‘ show, Certified LEGO Professional Ryan McNaught (aka The Brickman) and his team spent 52 hours and 8,302 bricks in the construction of the Mi-26.

Completed in UN-livery, Ryan’s build includes opening clamshell cargo doors and a roller conveyer to enable cargo to be parachuted to the ground, meaning his recreation of the mighty Russian helicopter is depicted doing something that its real-world counterpart – being part of the most ineffectual organisation on earth – probably never will. Prove us wrong United Nations…

Life-Size Lego Toyota Camry 2018

This is the new 2018 Toyota Camry. Except this one hasn’t been made on a mind-bendlingly efficient Toyota production line. Nope, this 2018 Camry has been hand-built from around half-a-million LEGO bricks.

Commissioned by Toyota Australia, certified LEGO Professional Ryan McNaught (aka The Brickman) and his team have recreated an exact life-size replica of the new Camry sedan, complete with working headlights, brake lights and turn signals. Weighing in at over two tons Ryan’s Lego replica costs more than the real car in bricks alone, is significantly heavier, and at 900 hours took fifty times longer to build than those clever Japanese robots take to make the real thing.

Lego Back to the Future DeLorean Time Machine

Certified LEGO Professional Ryan McNaught (aka The Brickman) is back! The Brickman Awesome event is touring Australia and New Zealand throughout 2018, having taken over 4,500 hours to create and built from a whopping 1.5million LEGO bricks! 290 of those hours and over 65,000 pieces belong to this, Ryan’s incredible replica of Doc Brown’s Delorean DMC-12 time machine from the Back to the Future movie franchise.

Created in conjunction with Universal Pictures the DeLorean took a team of seven people to design and build, and includes lighting and in-built smoke machine hidden underneath one of the largest plate-built exteriors that Ryan’s team has ever built.

Lego Life-Size Harley Davidson 48

Certified LEGO Professional Ryan McNaught (aka TheBrickMan) is back, and with one hell of a ride! This is a 2018 Harley Davidson 48 motorcycle, and it’s life-size! Built in a perfect 1:1 scale Ryan’s build uses over 64,000 LEGO pieces and took a team of three builders over 200 hours to create.

The motorcycle is 100% LEGO aside from a metal frame inside to allow for easier transportation (meaning this model can be ridden!) and working lights front and rear, and is part of the Brickman Awesome Lego show that is touring Australia and New Zealand this year.
