Monkeying Around in the Arctic

Tammo S.‘s colourful sci-fi hovercraft has run into some problems in the snow. Indeed snowflakes from the crash-landing still spatter its windscreen. Fortunately the pilot has found a nicely-shaped chunk of Lego ice floe to land on. He’s come prepared with a cooking stove and tools to fix the fault too. If he really gets stuck, he can always shelter in the well appointed cockpit that has been provided with lots to read and unusually, a potted plant.

Taxi!

grey-mini-01

Apparently this futuristic artic tractor unit is a taxi. Whatever its function, it’s well worth visiting its creator’s Flickr Photostream to see more details and play features. The builder goes by the name of Gray Mini, though we can’t spot that particular vehicle amongst his models.

Future 4×4

Spac-13

This futuristic all-terrain vehicle is the work of SPac13 on Flickr. It’s called the 4WRM-1 but that’s all of the back story that there is. Still, an Elf is still happily munching a green Smartie, thanks to finding this nicely styled sci-fi military vehicle. Click this link to see more views.

Home Delivery

HD 01

Our Elves almost missed this charming creation from Galaktek, on Flickr. Unusually for a sci-fi build it isn’t covered in guns & missiles and our workforce has a proven penchant for such things. This delivery lorry could easily be from the near future of Lego’s “City” range and features some very neat “wheel” units. Click on this link to see how Galaktek made them.

Weird Wheels

bike 01

Just when you thought that you’d seen all of the possible ways to build a wheel from LEGO, along comes F@bz. Whilst he is best known for his unusual spacecraft, we have also his featured futuristic cars and bikes on The LEGO Car Blog. F@bz’s Citroen Epona runs on wheels made from 17 (front) and 16 (back) black minifig helmet visors, according to the Elves who counted them. We’ve no information as to the ride quality this gives but it definitely creates a distinctive style. Click on this link to F@bz’s Photostream to see more, including detailed shots of some of the clever connections used in its construction.
