Vespas in Space

Lego Hoverbike

This smiling mini-figure looks like she’s having a fun ride. You can see more of _zenn‘s hoverbike-riding blonde on Flickr – click the link above to check her out.

Step-Through

Lego Scooter

Scooters are not our usual fare at The Lego Car Blog, but as there are far more on the roads worldwide than cars they should probably appear here more often. This neat Model Team scooter has been built by MOCpages’ Zhan James, and there’s more to see here.

Lego Scooter

Sometimes we could be accused of focussing only on fast, loud and exotic forms of transport here at The Lego Car Blog. So to redress the balance here’s an elderly Italian couple on a scooter.

Dario Minisini is the builder and you can see more of his charming build at his photostream here.

Officina Super Sprint Picture Special

Lego Vespa Scooter Workshop

We’re basically larger, hairier children here at TLCB Towers, and as such we usually post vehicles with a million horsepower, or guns, or racing stripes. And if possible with all three. Today though we’re posting something surprisingly small*, and possibly even a little elegant – the infamous classic Vespa scooter.

Lego Officina Super Sprint

Flickr’s Norton74 has appeared here several times before, more recently with his beautiful Volkswagen garage. He’s now re-purposed this previous build to replicate his own Officina Super Sprint Vespa Workshop that he owns in real-life, and it’s possibly even more lovely than before. One of his Volkswagen Transporters even makes a re-appearance too.

There’s a whole gallery to enjoy on at Norton74’s photostream, click the link above to take the trip.

Tuk, tuk, tuk, tuk…

Tuk tuk

The cheap and simple to maintain “tuk, tuk” is spreading everywhere today. Especially in Asia, Africa and South America they are thronging the roads of cities transporting both goods and people. Recently, a team of Elves have been using a tuk tuk to haul their Lego finds back to TLCB towers. Fortunately this noisily annoying vehicle was smushed into the carpet by another group, equipped with Sariel’s Liebherr Loader.

Tuk tuks have now made it into space, thanks to Pico van Grootveld’s entry into this year’s Classic Space Pocket Money Contest. His Tequilatron theme might explain why 1980s spacemen were always happy and smiling. Pico has also just published photos of his awesome ORCA MK II gunship. Click this link to his Flickr Photostream to see more of both builds, including the alternative models made from the Tuk tuk’s parts.

Vespa-Pascal

Another day in the office and another Elf sits happily munching a yellow Smartie, whilst fending off its envious colleagues with a bit of Technic. It has just returned with this lovely, brick-built Vespa scooter by Pascal (Pasukaru76). Click this link to Flickr for a closer look.

Two’s Company

Lego Space Scooter VespaIt’s a sunny weekend here at TLCB Towers and because we want to go outside we’re going to double-up a post by rolling two two-wheeled finds together and pretending it was planned all along. First up is this spacey Vespa-ish scooter from Karf Oohlu on Flickr, on which the wheels might just be the cleverest things we’ve ever posted.

The second two-wheeled creation comes from fellow Flickr user – and a TLCB newcomer – Buster, who’s built the Segway from hell by combining the aforementioned Presidential wheels with what looks like a tank and an iPod. See more of each vehicle via the links above.
