A Whole Lotta Grass

Surprisingly lucrative, easy to grow, and in demand just about everywhere, grass is bigger business than you might think.

Cue Arian Janssens, whose dope DAF 95.360 Space Cab hook-lift and drawbar trailer are designed solely to transport the stuff.

Both the truck and trailer can tip their respective containers independently, and share them with the world’s weirdest lawnmower for filling during the cutting process.

Hash your way to Flickr via the links above to roll one up.

White Space

No, not what your Grandfather calls the country club, but this, a rather humungous DAF FT CF 430 Space Cab truck, and an even more humongous twin-axle box trailer.

Constructed by DAF-building specialist Arian Janssens, the CF 430 Space Cab is one of three equally excellent Model Team recreations of modern DAF trucks published by the builder simultaneously, and there’s more to see of each at his photostream. Click the link above to take a look.

Really Very Long

Much like a Genesis piano solo, today’s creation is very ’80s, and really very long indeed. This DAF F241-Series Space Cab by Flickr’s Arian Janssens includes an enormous three-axle drop-side trailer, complete with a crane mounted in the middle, and its own steering – such is its length. The truck’s rather impressive too and you can check both truck and trailer at Arian’s ‘DAF FTG ATI Space Cab’ album via the link above, whilst we congratulate ourselves on making it through this post without referencing a johnson.

I’m Blue*

Is today’s post just so that we can link to that infernal Italian song so it gets stuck in your head too? Yes. Yes it is. But the model within it is also excellent. In fact, it’s five models, as not only has previous bloggee Arian Janssens constructed this ultra realistic DAF FAN CF 530 Space Cab truck, there’s a trailer, two swappable ‘canvas’ sided bodies with their own support legs, and a trailer-mounted forklift truck too

An extensive gallery of images is available via Flickr that shows all five components in more detail, and you can take a look at all the blue via the link above. Da-ba-dee da-ba-di. Dammit!

*Today’s title song. Of course.

Conveniently Placed Ramp

We’re not sure what this DAF FTN CF 480 Space Cab is pulling, but it sure looks like the kind of thing that will conveniently appear at just the right moment during a movie car chase. Whatever it is there’s more to see of it, the 5-axle trailer it’s resting upon, and the DAF TFN that’s pulling it courtesy of Arian Janssens. Make your jump-based escape via the link above!

Space Slurry

No, we’re not referring to Star Wars dialogue – we’re a day early for that – rather this giant black tanker truck by previous bloggee Arian Janssens. It’s a DAF FT CF480 Space Cab, pulling a huge three-axle tanker trailer filled with more crap than an Anakin Skywalker monologue. Whoops, we’re a day early. Er, let’s say Trump’s Twitter account. Either way, it’s a whole lot of crap, and there’s more to see of Arian’s enormous slurry tanker on Flickr via the link.

Becoming Bacon

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas… Don’t worry, TLCB will remain resolutely unChristmassy until December, but if some of the residents close to TLCB Towers are anything to go by, it’s already December 23rd.

Cue a tenuous link to today’s creation, a DAF FAC 3600 ATI 8×2 Space Cab livestock transport by regular bloggee Arian Janssens, which is quite a mouthful. Although that’s fitting, because so too is what it would transport.

Designed to take pigs from a life on the farm too, er… the sausage factory – and to segway back to the start of this post – is there any purpose more noble than to become a tasty Christmas snack and hasten the onset of heart disease and high cholesterol in glutenous holiday partygoers?

Exactly. These pigs are the heroes we need, and there’s more to see of their magnificent final-journey’s chariot on Flickr via the link.

Yellow Brick Road

This is a DAF FT CF 480 Space Cab with a 4-axle Floor trailer and mobile crane. A suitably long title for a suitably long vehicle. Designed to carry bricks and stone, which makes us very pleased with this post’s title (and it enables us to post this link!*), it comes from previous bloggee Arian Janssens and there’s more to see on Flickr. Click here to follow the Yellow Brick Road!

*We’re not sorry.

Lego DAF Super Space Cab

This remarkably intricate DAF XF FT Super Space Cab comes from Flickr’s Lasse Deleuran, and its beauty is much more than skin deep. With working indicators, twin L motor remote control drive, and working steering, it’s a Model Team truck with a Technic heart.

There’s more to see at Lasse’s photostream via the link above, and you can see an earlier version complete with a huge box trailer with a superb livery from well-known movie by clicking here.

Lego DAF XF Euro 6 FT Space Cab

The Elves love today’s find. It’s massive, it’s remote controlled, it features a slightly obscure Disney reference, and – perhaps most importantly – it’s orange. This superb DAF XF FT Space Cab truck, complete with Power Functions remote control and a brilliant trailer with brick-built livery, comes from gtahelper of Brickshelf, and there’s loads more to check out at the extensive image gallery – click the link above to window shop.

Space Cab Cominatie

Lego DAF CF 460 Space Cab

This superb DAF CF 460 Space Cab ‘combinatie’ truck and trailer was discovered by one of our Elves on Flickr. It’s the work of DAF-building specialist and previous bloggee Arian Janssens, who churns out DAF truck models of the highest quality and a prodigious rate. There’s lots more to see of Arian’s latest build, which includes a variety of load and trailer colour schemes and combinations, via his Flickr photostream – click the link above to make the jump.
