Gravel Pit

Lego Model Team Truck HaulerWe’ve written about this astonishing Peterbilt 379 by bricksonwheels before, but when a builder updates their portfolio with photos like these it’s definitely worth a revisit. Bricksonwheels moves his spectacular truck to a remarkably well-suited setting, where he’s joined by the equally brilliant Dennis Bosman and his previously featured Scania LT tipper. View the full gallery resulting in their meet at either of the aforementioned links. And now, for no reason other than a tenuous link the title, a bonus video to demonstrate how street we are.

Duel

Lego Duel truckThis evil brown tanker originates from the 1971 cult film ‘Duel’, directed by Steven Spielberg and based on the short story by Richard Matheson, in which a deranged truck driver hounds a sales rep across the California desert. We won’t spoil the ending if you’ve not seen the film, so instead we’ll direct you to trapjewad‘s Flickr page where you can pick up some clues.

Power Functions Peterbilt

This huge Peterbilt 379 was found on Brickshelf today. mbmc137, who really needs a snappier name, has recreated the rig in cunning mix of bricks, plates and Technic beams. Underneath all that yellow is a full Power Functions remote control drivetrain. See it in action, and the full gallery, here.

U.S Truck

Two Elves returned today, each carrying a Town scale truck from opposite sides of the Atlantic. Fearing yet another brutal Elf fight (it takes ages to clean the office afterwards), and as each truck is worthy of posting, we’ve doubled-up and included both. The first (above) is a U.S Peterbilt from _lichtblau_ featuring some lovely chromed parts. The second (below), from Thietmaier, is a classic European Volvo F10. You can see more of each truck on Flickr.

Lego Peterbilt 379

Looks good, if a little plain, on the outside. But wait until you see what’s underneath!

This fairly normal looking Peterbilt truck hides a big secret. Well, actually about 58 big secrets. Because this truck is built by Sheepo, who is without doubt the most technically capable MOCer working right now. His previous works have astounded the Lego Community, and his latest takes Technic to an entirely new plain. As well as the usual RC drive and steering it features a replica inline-6 Cat diesel engine, a full 20-speed double gearbox and, most incredible of all, a complete pneumatic brake and suspension system. We’re not able to convey just how marvelous this creation is, so sit down and watch in awe as Sheepo explains…
