After yesterday’s MAN 8×8 expedition truck, today we have a bonus build. Casually added into the Eurobricks topic alongside the MAN, collaborative builders MTC also published this brilliant-looking Mercedes-Benz Unimog outfitted for off-road adventuring. A complete Technic chassis is topped with an excellent Model Team body, consisting of a four-door cab and an integrated RV unit, and there’s more to see alongside the previously-blogged MAN 8×8 on Eurobricks. Built by collaborative building channel MTC, this MAN 8×8 off-road expedition truck includes everything you could need to escape to a place far away.
Two XL Motors power all eight fully suspended wheels, a Servo powers the steering, a Medium Motor drives a lift for a motorcycle/ATV platform mounted under the rear of the fully-equipped camper section, whilst another drives a compressor that can elevate the camper roof on four pneumatic cylinders.
All of the functions can be controlled via bluetooth courtesy of two SBricks, which you can watch in action via the excellent and appropriately sound-tracked video below, plus there’s more to see of this amazing rig at both Eurobricks and Flickr.

We all need an escape sometimes. Particularly if your office includes a hoard of mythical creatures who got into the supply cupboard and have eaten all the glue sticks.
Thesuperkoala of Flickr has just the sort of vehicle that would enable this writer to escape the gluey mess that is TLCB Towers and hide out somewhere far away from Elves or Pritt Stick.
Powered by a third-party BuWizz bluetooth battery, Koala’s ‘6×6 Expedition’ includes a remote control six-wheel-drive system and steering, all-axle suspension, a detailed engine under a raising hood, plus opening doors and hatches.

Half of America believes the other half is lying, a deadly disease is confining us to our homes, and we’re at the tipping point of irreversible and catastrophic climate change (unless you’re in the half of America that thinks this is a lie). Sometimes we just want to give up and escape into the wilderness.
Flickr’s Thesuperkoala is aiding this fantasy today, courtesy of this thoroughly excellent off-road expedition truck, complete with everything needed to leave society behind. Koala’s creation is also fitted with superb working suspension and a full Power Functions remote control drivetrain, including steering, all-wheel-drive, and a high/low gearbox, enabling it to travel far off the beaten track.

Having already posted one awesome Mercedes-Benz Zetros expedition truck earlier in the year we didn’t expect to find another. But like feet, Noah’s animals, and your Mom’s chin, Zetroses it seems, come in twos.
This spectacularly well-engineered Zetros expedition truck comes from previous bloggee jrx and it’s packed with brilliant Technic functionally, with seven Power Functions motors fitted inside, controlled via two SBricks and a LEGO IR Receiver.
Each wheel is driven by an XL motor, a Servo controls the steering, and two further Medium motors power the winch and a retractable awning.
Fourteen sets of LEDs give jrx’s Zetros working head and tail lights, flashing turn signals, roof-mounted floodlights, and even interior lighting. The model also includes functioning suspension on all four wheels, a fully fitted interior, and an ATV stored on-board.

This is the Mercedes-Benz Zetros, the brand’s ultra-heavy duty off-road truck. Normally found in use by the military, utilities companies, or carrying weighty things to the middle-of-nowhere, it’s a truck that has a sort-of-adventurous life performing fairly mundane jobs. Not this one though.
Built by Samolot of Eurobricks this Zetros pays homage to a one-off expedition adventure vehicle created a few years ago which looks like something from The Wild Thornberrys and is possibly the coolest way ever to cross a continent.

Based on the chassis found within the official LEGO Technic 8110 Mercedes-Benz Unimog set, Samolot’s Zetros forgoes the now-commonplace remote control drive and steering for a host of mechanical and powered functions.
A single Medium Motor and gearbox drive three powered features; the winch, lowering rear tail-lift platform, and the side ladder, plus there’s a piston engine up front, working all-wheel-drive and all-wheel-suspension (as per the Unimog set) and a very nice-looking cab interior.
If you were surprised that yesterday’s find resulted in no Elven carnage, so were we. Fast, nimble and easily controllable from a bluetooth device, Anto’s remote control Citroen World Rally Car would have been the perfect tool to – if not drive over Elves – at least splat them against the corridor walls. But fear not readers, the Elves are back on form today.
This brutal-looking Jeep Wrangler Expedition is neither fast nor nimble, but it is a hugely capable machine. Powered by an on-board LiPo battery, two XL motors drive all four wheels whilst two L motors power the steering and a front-mounted winch. Working lights and monster suspension complete the list of functions, equipping the Jeep for the tough off-road competition for which it was built.
We don’t know how the Jeep fared in the aforementioned event, but if the carnage here at TLCB Towers is anything to go buy, we suspect it did quite well.
Knowing it isn’t the fastest creation, the discoverer Elf waited until nightfall to unleash the Jeep on its unsuspecting colleagues. Many of TLCB Elves sleep in their cages. A sign of their oppression they may be, but a cage-based Elf is usually a safe Elf. However, some of the Elves had taken their chances, simply falling asleep in various poses on the cage room floor. These Elves were not safe. Not safe at all.
Unable to wake and run fast enough, the Jeep made easy work of the snoozing Elves. By the time we reached the cage room at least a dozen had been flattened and one was still desperately clinging the the bumper in a bid to avoid the Jeep’s balloon tyres before Mr. Airhorn put an end to the rampage.
Delighted with its success the lucky Elf at the controls bounded off into the night, leaving us to tidy up the mess.
