1995’s Oscar winning ‘A Close Shave’ was the third instalment in the wonderful ‘Wallace & Gromit’ series, and it brought Shaun the Sheep to screens for the first time, a clay animal who’s now possibly more famous than the duo that uncovered him.
The movie also featured a rather brilliant chase scene, with Wallace & Gromit in their trusty motorcycle and sidecar fitted with a few choice modifications.
Recreating the famous motorbike is grubaluk of Flickr, who has rebuilt both the bike and characters wonderfully from Lego bricks. That’s not all though, as like Wallace’s bike in the movie, grubaluk’s model has a few secrets hidden inside, chiefly one of the most brilliant remote control systems we’ve ever seen.
Watch the video below to find out why, and you can see all the images at grubalek’s photostream via the link above.
OK, we’ve made that last one up.* Still, Redfern1950s‘ previously featured Dispatch Bike has received a Second Amendment upgrade and even we** admit that it does look cool! Re-purposed in Africa Korps spec it also includes a serious looking cartoon rider, so it can now dispatch people instead of packages.

Maxime Cheng‘s beautiful classic BMW R60 motorcycle has appeared here before (twice in fact), and it’s now been joined by an equally stunning sidecar. Easily one of the finest Lego motorbikes we’ve ever found it’s a build that’s definitely worth a closer look.
Maxime is hoping the design will become an official LEGO set via the LEGO Ideas platform, and with BMW now an official partner of LEGO with the launch of the new Technic 42063 BMW R 1200 Adventure set we think this is highly possible. You can check out all of the brilliant images and add your vote on LEGO Ideas via the link above.
This magnificent motorcycle and sidecar from previous bloggee redfern1950s probably has nothing to do with our favourite plasticine duo, but it’s close enough to allow us to tenuously include this link! You can see more of redfern’s gorgeous bike at his photostream via the link above.
This beautiful Technic motorcycle with sidecar comes from TLCB debutant hirnlego, and it looks a fine way to reuse two of LEGO’s 42036 Sports Motorbike sets. You can see more of this creation via the first link, and you can read our review of the official Technic set on which it’s based via the second.
