Large, round, red, and pulled by truckers. No, it’s not your Mom on vacation, but this stupendous tanker truck by Flickr’s Arian Janssens. Six axles, superb detailing, and much steering are all at play, and there’s more to see of Arian’s DAF FTG XF 480 to see via the link.
The Lego Car Blog Elves love a big red truck, and they don’t come much bigger, redder, and truckier than this one. It’s a DAF FAW XF 450 hook-lift container truck, as built (and presented) beautifully by TLCB regular Arian Janessens. This is a DAF FTG XF 530 Sleeper Cab, and it’s been built – rather beautifully – by previous bloggee Arian Janssens of Flickr. It’s also not alone, being hitched to an enormous three-axle container trailer complete with a giant tank of… we have no idea. Beer perhaps? We can but hope.

There is currently a fuel supply crisis in TLCB’s home nation, caused by COVID or Brexit or something.
Whatever the reason, a portion of the population (probably the same portion who stock-piled toilet rolls during the COVID lock-downs) have gone mad, and are trying to refuel every five minutes, in doing so turning a really rather minor problem into a rather larger one. Because they’re idiots.
Typifying this idiocy are a select group of morons who have followed tanker trucks in the hope they’re delivering fuel, and not olive oil, or liquid nitrogen, or – in one particularly amusing case – mortar.
Cue Arian Janssens‘ DAF FTS XF95 ‘Mestwagen’, which we think means manure tanker, but frankly without actually knowing what’s inside it we’re just guessing, much like a worrying number of the UK population have been doing over the past week or two.
You can follow Arian’s DAF ‘Mestwagen’ to wherever it is it’s going in the hope of procuring some petrol via the link above, whilst we start stockpiling tinned food and toilet paper.
It’s the time of year when our TVs are filled with a brightly-lit truck, travelling slowly through American towns distributing soft drinks to happy citizens, and it makes everyone feel a bit more magical.
This is not that truck.
Flickr’s Keko007 has chosen to mark the start of the festive season by resolutely not building the famous Coca Cola Christmas truck, instead building an unadorned trailer for Coke’s rival, pulled by the blandest and most generic European truck that there is, the DAF XF.
Which is not magical at all.
It is a great build though, with one of the best brick-built logos we’ve seen in ages, and there’s more of Keko’s excellent Not-The-Coca-Cola-Christmas-Truck to see at the link above.
This is a DAF XF Super Space Cab truck and Oceanic Airlines trailer, complete with a brilliant brick-built mosaic, remote control drive and steering, and LED lights. Built by previous bloggee Lasse Deleuran it’s a superb model, highlighting just how good Lego vehicles can be, yet it’s was you can’t see that’s even more impressive.
Utilising a programable PFx brick (a kickstarter project that debuted here way back in 2017), Lasse’s truck not only has remote control drive and steering via bluetooth and a working fifth wheel, it also contains a complete light and sound sequence programmed by the builder into the PFx brick, bringing his model spectacularly to life.
The PFx brick can be programmed with an infinite array of movement, light, and sound, much like the classic Technic Barcode Truck from 1997, only much smaller, and a fair bit cleverer too.

We have no idea what Soul Storm Kennels is, but their logo looks awesome on the side of a truck trailer! Pulling this magnificent tessellation of bricks is a DAF XF XT Super Space Cab by Lasse Deleuran aka gtahelper. Power Functions motors and an SBrick bluetooth brick give the model remote control drive, and there’s more to see (plus building instructions) via the links above.
This remarkably intricate DAF XF FT Super Space Cab comes from Flickr’s Lasse Deleuran, and its beauty is much more than skin deep. With working indicators, twin L motor remote control drive, and working steering, it’s a Model Team truck with a Technic heart.

The Elves love today’s find. It’s massive, it’s remote controlled, it features a slightly obscure Disney reference, and – perhaps most importantly – it’s orange.
