Only Two More Sleeps!

There are only two more sleeps ’til Christmas! Which means we’re locking the doors to TLCB Towers, frantically buying presents we forgot about, and readying ourselves for drunken family arguments.

We’ll be back in a few days, but if you need to get your Lego fix in the meantime, you can find a few places that are open all-year-round below!

  • All our past posts are available in the Archives, where you can search for pretty much anything and something will probably turn up.
  • Our Review Library contains over one-hundred LEGO set, book, and third-party product reviews.
  • The world’s best Lego vehicle builders have been interviewed right here at TLCB! (Incriminating pictures work wonders for motivation.) Find them all by clicking here!
  • Proper Lego blogs, and a lot more besides, can be found in the Directory.

We’d recommend switching off from the internet for the festive period though. The important things will be much closer to home : )

Have a very Merry Christmas

TLCB Team

P.S. The amusing image used above comes courtesy of previous bloggee Sylon_tw, who has captured Santa a very long way from home (that, or the penguins are). Fingers crossed he can get his sleigh going again before tomorrow night!

Santa-Charged

We already know Father Christmas is a pretty cool dude. He owns an array of machinery (according to you lot), from hot rods to hover cars, and Supras to snowmobiles, and now it’s the turn of Santa’s sleigh to get an upgrade. Flickr’s tony bovkoon has given Saint Nick’s flying present distribution system a lot more attitude, courtesy of a side-piped Dodge Challenger! We’re not sure what the V8 behind those side pipes is for, seeing as there is no way for any of its power to get to the snow, but it sure looks cool. Head to Tony’s album on Flickr to take a look!

Hot Sled

Lego Santa Hot Rod

We’re back! After a few days getting drunk helping the less fortunate, TLCB Team are back in the crumbling ruin that is TLCB Towers. With the Elves re-released (and very hungry) we can expect them to return with finds soon, but in the meantime here’s one of your suggestions. Built by Andreas Lattanzio, Father Christmas is already back in the North Pole getting ready for next year in style, using a hot rodded sleigh to traverse the frozen polar landscape. There’s more to see of this neat mini-figure scale scene on Flickr – click the link above to make the jump.

It’s Christmaaas!

Lego Santa Spaceship

The detritus from office Christmas party has been tidied away (although the regret still lingers), The Lego Car Blog Elves have been re-captured and returned to their cages, and we’re about to turn the lights out here at TLCB Towers.

Before we go here’s one final festive creation, revealing that Santa is moving with times to keep up with increasing Christmas demands. Rod Gillies has equipped Saint Nic with his own present-delivering spaceship, allowing the Reindeer to relax this festive season. There’s more to see of Santa’s hangar on the night before Christmas (complete with Elves that look nothing like ours) by clicking here, we wish you the very merriest of Christmases, and we’ll see you soon.

It’s Christmaaaaaas!

Lego Santa Sleigh Mech

Presents are being wrapped, Santa is checking his list twice, and we’re about to spend the next few days getting drunk. So as we wind things down here for our usual Christmas break we have one last creation to share, Sariel‘s slightly terrifying mechanised-reindeer propelled sleigh. Watch it in action via the link above, have a very Merry Christmas, and we’ll see you all soon!

Christmas wishes

Kidnap the Sandy Claws…

Lego The Nightmare Before Christmas

…beat him with a stick. Lock him up for fifty years, see what makes him tick! Jack Skellington is filling in for an absent Santa, and things are a lot less jolly. Flickr’s César Soares is the builder behind this scary Saint Nick, and there’s more to see at his photostream via the link above.

Santa Claus is Coming to Town!

Lego Santa's Hot Rod

He’s making a list, he’s checking it twice, he’s got a hot rod for crossing the ice, Santa Claus is coming to town!

When Santa isn’t commanding his magic sleigh he’s still got to get around, and – looking as he does like the missing member of ZZ Top – we think he’s probably got a pretty cool ride.

Previous bloggee sm 01 thinks so too, and he’s built Mr. Claus the perfect vehicle for a rockin’ journey across the frozen wastes of the North Pole. You can see more of Santa’s Hot Rod on Flickr at the link above.
