Primary-Palleted-Post-Apocalyptic-Paradise

Not our title, but the words of TLCB debutant Blair Archer (aka Slick_Bricks), who has taken Fabuland’s well-documented descent into violence and chaos to its ultimate conclusion. It’s enough to make you lose your head.

Slick’s ‘Doom Buggy’, part of a wider ‘Fab Max – Furry Road’ initiative, equips ‘I am the Walrus’ and his crew of cut-throat critters with a variety of weaponry, not least a tailgate-mounted guillotine for the removal of heads whilst on the road. Makes sense to us.

Head to Slick’s photostream via the link above for all the imagery. Goo goo g’joob*.

*If you don’t know what we’re on about, click these words. Which probably won’t help at all.

Submarover

Lego Submarover

We thought that Febrovery had every possible base covered by now, but Flickr’s Galaktek has managed to find a roving niche as yet unfilled. And now we think about it, it’s an obvious one too. Any planet worth inhabiting must have water, but until now the liquid surface of space has been completely ignored by the rover designers of the internet. However, with niftily retractable wheels and a suite of propellors, Galaktek‘s Beatles-esque ‘Submarover’ can explore the oceans and land in equal measure, all whilst singing an irritating tune. Set sail via the link above.

Ticket to Ride

Lego Technic Hoist Truck

Getting a ticket isn’t fun, and in many cities if you’ve parked particularly poorly you might come back to find an empty space where your car used to be*.

Brickshelf’s pipasseyoyo has recreated the traffic warden’s favourite tool – the hoist truck – in Technic, and he’s included a whole host of Power Functions components too.

His build includes four motors running through three gearboxes, meaning the truck can drive, steer, tilt and lower the ramp, rotate, extend and lift the crane boom, and deploy stabilisers. Which is a lot more than most official LEGO Technic sets. You can see how it’s all packed in via the link to Brickshelf above.
