The most popular vehicle in the U.S is not a Camry, CR-V, or RAV4. No, it’s a pick-up truck, specifically the Ford F-150, now in its fourteenth generation.

With ¾ million sales in the U.S. last year, Ford sold 50% more F-150s than the next best-selling vehicle in America (also a pick-up). That’s a lot of people hauling boats, working on building sites, or carrying lumber.

Perhaps just one or two are used for nothing more than driving to Walmart of course, but we’re sure that 99% are absolutely used for pick-upy things. Definitely.

This F-150 is the work of previous bloggee gyenesvi, who has packed his 1:14 Technic version with working functions. Four-wheel-drive comes courtesy of a BuWizz bluetooth battery and twin Powered-up Motors, steering is driven via a third motor, and a high/low gearbox by a fourth, all of which can be operated remotely.

Realistic five-link suspension, opening doors, hood and tailgate, and a detailed interior also feature, and you can check out full details – including a link to free building instructions – at Eurobricks. My Other Car’s a Lamborghini

No really, it is.

This searingly green Technic Ford F150 is the work of TLCB Master MOCer Nico71, and it’s constructed only from the parts found within the LEGO 42115 Lamborghini Sian FKP 37 set.

Nico’s 42115 B-Model features four-wheel-drive, a V8 engine, an 8-speed sequential gearbox, adjustable suspension, and working steering, and best of all there are building instructions available so you can convert your own Lamborghini Sian set into a Ford F150 yourself.

Nothing says ‘America’ like voter fraud apparently*. A close second however, is the Ford F-150 pick-up, especially in Raptor specification and with stars-and-stripes FORD lettering across the front.

This fantastic recreation of America’s favourite uprated off-road pick-up comes from Master MOCer and vehicle-building legend Firas Abu-Jaber, who has created it entirely from the parts found within the official 10265 Ford Mustang set.

Despite the limitations of its parts-base, Firas’ F-150 Raptor not only looks superb, it features working steering, opening doors, a functioning sunroof, a dropping tailgate, and a detailed engine underneath the opening hood.

Lego 75875 Ford F150 Hot Rod Supersize

We love LEGO’s officially licensed vehicle sets here at TLCB. Ferrari, Porsche, McLaren, Volkswagen, Mercedes-Benz and more have all made appearances in brick-form, and Ford joined the party most recently with three new sets added to the mini-figure scale Speed Champions range.

This is one of them; set 75875, a Ford F150 pick-up with a Model-A hot rod in tow. Except that the 75875 pictured here is a considerably bigger than LEGO’s original, courtesy of builder Aliencat, who set about super-sizing the Speed Champions set.

Faithful to the design of the original set, Aliencat has ramped up the detail afforded to him by the increase in scale, and each build features a fully detailed engine and interior, and includes some superb chassis realism too.

Octan Offroad

Lego Ford F150 Raptor

LEGO’s fictional petroleum company, Octan, have been around since 1992, with their ‘sponsorship’ appearing on all sorts of vehicles over that time. This Ford F150 Raptor in full off-road spec by Flickr’s Peter Blackert (aka Lego911) is one of our favourites to appear in a while, and the Octan sponsorship looks very at home. Lego Lifted Pick-Up

This fully-studded 1984 Ford F-150 was suggested to us by a reader. Michael Janise is the builder and he’s thrown in everything a redneck ride needs; lift kit, spotlights, roll bar and an ice cooler. OK, everything bar a gun rack and a republican/confederate flag sticker on the rear bumper. See all the details on MOCpages here.
